Respectful Behavior
All participants must treat fellow attendees, organizing staff, and venue personnel with courtesy and respect. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or inappropriate conduct of any kind will not be tolerated.
Inclusivity
BioNanoSeries brings together a diverse global community across disciplines, cultures, genders, and career stages. We encourage thoughtful, inclusive, and constructive dialogue that supports scientific exchange and collaboration.
Zero Tolerance for Harassment
Harassment includes, but is not limited to, offensive verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, unwanted photography or recording, sustained disruption of sessions, and inappropriate physical contact. Any participant who experiences or witnesses such behavior should immediately inform the organizing team. All concerns will be handled confidentially.
Professionalism
BioNanoSeries is a professional scientific conference. Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects integrity and respect for their institutions and peers. Speakers must be prepared, punctual, and respectful during sessions and discussions.
Personal Health
Participant well-being is a priority. If you feel unwell or experience symptoms of illness, please refrain from attending in-person sessions and notify the organizers promptly.
Emergency Procedures
Attendees should familiarize themselves with venue emergency exits and safety procedures. In case of emergency, follow instructions from venue staff and conference volunteers.
Punctuality
Speakers and presenters must arrive on time and remain present for the full duration of their session. Absence or early departure without prior notice is strongly discouraged.
Engagement
Speakers are encouraged to actively engage with the audience, respond to questions professionally, and participate in scientific discussions throughout the conference.
Technical Assistance
If special AV or logistical assistance is required, presenters must inform the organizing team in advance.
Consent Required
Attendees may take general photographs for personal use; however, close-up photos or recordings of presentations require explicit permission from the presenter.
No Disruptions
Photography and recording must not interfere with sessions or distract speakers and attendees.
Presentation Content
All materials presented at #BioNanoSeries2026 remain the intellectual property of the presenter or affiliated institution. Respect all intellectual rights.
Sharing Information
Unpublished data, proprietary findings, or confidential information must not be shared without explicit consent. Sessions designated as confidential must be treated accordingly.
Professional Networking
Participants are encouraged to engage respectfully during networking sessions, breaks, and social events.
Respecting Time
When approaching speakers or researchers for discussion, please be mindful of time and other attendees wishing to connect.
Poster Presenters
Poster presenters must remain available during designated poster sessions across both days for jury evaluation and attendee interaction. Failure to attend assigned times without notifying organizers may impact award eligibility.
Consequences of Misconduct
Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in actions including formal warnings, removal from the conference without refund, and notification to the participant’s affiliated institution.
